OIL PASTELS MASTER'S COPY

Step into the shoes of the masters at our Masters Copies Oil Pastel Camp, where creativity meets history under the expert guidance of Ms. Chadwick. From Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 1 PM, at Mountain View Elementary, young artists are invited to a week-long exploration of oil pastel techniques, drawing inspiration from some of the most iconic painters in history.
A Journey Through Art History: Each day, campers will delve into the styles and strokes of famous oil painters, including Van Gogh's swirling skies, Monet's light-dappled landscapes, Frida Kahlo's introspective portraits, Pablo Picasso's bold abstractions, and Georgia O'Keeffe's vibrant flowers. Through guided instruction, students will create their own oil pastel masterpieces, learning not just about technique but the stories and emotions behind these famous works.
Camp Highlights:
Daily Master Studies: Tackle a new artist and artwork each day, building a portfolio of diverse and colorful oil pastel paintings.
Morning Instruction: Begin each day with Ms. Chadwick's insights into the day's featured artist, followed by hands-on painting sessions.
Snack & Socialize: Enjoy a healthy snack at 9:30 AM, a perfect time to discuss art and ideas with fellow campers.
Lunch Break: At 11:30 AM, there's a pause for lunch (brought from home), offering campers a moment to relax and recharge.
End of Camp Gallery: At the week's end, we'll showcase the campers' master copies in a gallery setting, celebrating their hard work and artistic growth.
